TGITF – week 4

Thank God It’s Tech Friday again, a bit slow one in the universal apps department though.

Universal apps of the week

Microsoft Research working with Lumia Devices Team

Thought this is quite interesting bit of news.

Microsoft Research is working on a technology to include secondary display on the inside of the Flip Covers. There are several use cases for this idea, the secondary low power display can act as a touch keyboard when you want to type something, it can display Cortana and its contextual info always-on when you open the cover and more.

New gadget: Chuwi Hi12 Windows 10 tablet

A sleek ipadish-type of design Chuwi Hi12 tablet looks really great. Comes with a 12 inches 2K retina display, 2160 x 1440 resolution. With the 400 lumens screen brightness it promises to be viewable even in bright sunshine.

hi12

Intel Cherry Trail Processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, expandable up to 128GB (Micros SD). 8 hours of battery time and a magnetic docking keyboard.

What surprised me that it does not have the USB-C port. I bought the Chuwi Vi8 Plus for $99 in December and it had the USB-C port.

This sleek tablet has the price tag of $299, so for that price and tech specs it is very affordable. More about it here.

Weekly funny

This has always been one of my favorite from Mitchell and Webb. Hope you like it too.
